Skillet Pork Chops & Rice
  • 4 Pork Chops
  • 2 Tbsp Veg. Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion, Sliced
  • ¼ Cup Celery, Sliced
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1½ Cup Water
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 2 8oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup Uncooked Rice

Lightly sauté onion and celery in oil. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and brown on both sides.

Remove chops. Add water, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and 1½ cans of tomato sauce. Stir and bring to a boil. Add rice and stir.

Return chops to skillet. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Pour on remaining tomato sauce. Cover and simmer 15 more minutes.
