Royal Icing
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • ½ tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 16 oz Pkg. Pwd Sugar - Sifted!
  • Food Coloring

Beat egg whites (Best if eggs are at room temperature) and tartar at medium speed until foamy. Gradually add sugar, mixing well. Beat 5-7 minutes.

Icing dries quickly. Cover with plastic wrap and store in fridge. Or, use a wet paper towel to cover bowl.

Good for Sugar Cookies.
