Peanut Butter Criss-Crosses
  • 1 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 3 Cups Flour*
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Choc Chips (Optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift and dry ingrediants in a separate bowl. Stir into creamed mixture.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of floured fork to make criss-cross pattern. Bake 1t 350° about 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

* For richer cookies, use 2 Cups flour.
