First-Down Fudge
First-Down Fudge
  • 1¼ Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Melted Butter
  • 3 Cup Choc Chips
  • 14 Oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3oz Pkg Cream Cheese (Softened)

Preheat oven to 375°. Line 9" square pan with aluminum foil. Combine crumbs, sugar and butter and press mixture firmly into bottom of prepared pan. Bake 8 minutes and then allow to cool.

In a heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese until well blended. Spread over prepared crust. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Use foil to lift fudge from pan and place on cutting board. Remove foil and cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator.

Use Hershey or Nestlé semi-sweet chocolate chips and Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk. We made this once with Ghirardelli chips and the fudge came out gooey/sticky.
